Duties for items entering Canada from US
Are all goods taxed at 14% entering Canada from the US? (if Ontario)
eg. electronics, stuff from amazon.com, tires, vacuum cleaners, etc?
or are there extra fees for certain items?

You could pay GST and PST on all items coming into Canada (from anywhere)
All items COULD also have duties associated with them. That depends not where it is coming from but where it was manufactured and what the item is. You need to contact Canada Customs to determine the duty rates.
If you get the items shipped you will pay shipping charges and a brokerage fee (to get the item through customs). Brokerage fees can be quite steep so do a search on RFD and you'll get the rates

Taxes and duties are different.
Duties depend on the nature of the item and where it was made.
Items made in the USA are not subject to duties when entering Canada.
Whether or not you pay 14% tax depends on the value of the item and whether you are bringing it in by mail or personally after a visit to the US. If you're bringing it personally, it depends on how long you were outside of Canada.

I'm interested in products that are mailed to me from the US, with a value exceeding $60.
The tax codes on the link provided are a bit confusing but I'll try to look more thoroughly through it. Very technical abbreviations on tax descriptions.
