So my Staples EL-FREEBIO AIO is long since empty on Black...but the Colour seems to be going strong. Well today I fiddled, and pleasantly discovered that if you force Colour Printing (even for black documents), and manually adjust your settings as so...
You get Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrack Printing!!!
Woo-hoo!!!! The last few waybills I printed out where light blueberry and something else. The Courier guy wasn't happy since his scanner wouldn't pick it up. Had to manually enter code.
Only downside to this is I was looking forward to cracking open a new El-Freebio AIO but now I won't need to for quite awhile. We hardly ever do any printing so this'll last (partly why I never discovered this trick till now).
BTW., I'm sure you GEEKS knew about this long ago! I just stumbled upon it so I was pleased with myself and decided to share. If I help one person I'm happy
.
Now off to Harvey's to get me some Angus!

Yup ... There are some ultra-low-end models of inkjet printers actually do not equip with true black carts ... They just have color ... The 'black' is more like a very dark brown ...
