Note that Dyson refurb are in "used" condition. Not like new at least from my own experience. The unit was scratched up and even some dust in the bin. The handheld I bought looks like it was under heavy use for a year (ok, maybe 6 months, but definitely not lightly used). Final sale, no refund and shorter warranty. I'm not sure if it's a hot deal at all. Don't expect it to be like Apple refurb products.

I got a DC25 refurb for $360 last year, I love it. Looked totally brand new, no scratches and no dust. Still working great despite daily use in a three-story home filled with carpets.

What would you suggest DC25 or DC33? We have pets but find that the tools that come with "Animal" vacs just gather hairs in the actual tool and its a pain to remove. Let me know if this one is different though... would be most interested in that if its low maintenance.

FWIW, my refurb Dyson Stowaway came in like new condition.
We also had a warranty issue with the cord a year down the road and that was handled smoothly as well. I would definitely buy from them again.

I've been doing some research and reading comparisons between the dc33 and the dc25. People are saying even though the dc25 has better maneuverability, the dc33 has more power and bigger can, so less emptying. So i might end up getting the dc33 cuz its also $30 cheaper.
Also, does anybody know if you buy from Dyson on ebay, do they charge tax? Cuz that would make it even cheaper.

How do the upright's compare to the canister vaccum's going under furniture/beds? I assume you'd likely have to move furniture for the upright.. has anybody tried both and liked one over the other?
Has anybody tried Miele brand? If so, what did or didn't you like about Miele vs Dyson?
