To avoid drilling, would the camera be as effective if it were mounted at the top of the rear window on a sedan instead of near the license plate?

This is really exciting only I have no clue how to install any of this.
Would appreciate any help. How would the wiring work?
What else would I need after buying the previously mentioned camera and monitor?
How are these powered?
