If you applied to other universities just wait, and then make your decision, when they give you a reply. I don't much about Carleton U but if you feel like its your place then go for it. But I know most people think about reputation and all that so I'd probably go for something more well-known. Then again, I personally don't think reputation is all that.

I go to Carleton. Great school, profs are all really relaxed and friendly. Commerce program is alright I guess, but I'm personally not in it and don't see the B.Comm students that much.
Highly recommend the University itself though
. Plus, Ottawa is a nice city.
To Kunman: Who the hell cares if your friend got accepted to Rotman. Nobody asked about Rotman, and to be honest it's not that impressive.
At the end of the day it's an undergrad degree and nobody really cares where you get it. Go have fun and live a little as there is plenty more to see and experience out side the GTA.

I don't think OP was trying to brag. He or she just wanted opinions about the school

Haha, if only. To be honest, I don't even know what their motto is :P.

Point proven. You think you're a hot shot because you got into all those schools. Good for you, so did I. The difference between you and I is that I'm not bragging about it though. Quite frankly I'm glad stuck up brats like you go to the more 'prestigious' schools, that way civilized/down to earth people at the rest don't have to deal with your type.
This also isn't my first rodeo with school and have been to multiple other Universities and Colleges.

You'll see I didn't go off my rocker and list all the schools in CAPS. So no, we aren't the same.

Personal experience Sherry. I went to Carleton and it's a good school. The campus is especially nice during the summer being near the rideau canal (at least near the end of the canal). Also has a nice network of underground tunnel, so no need to walk outside in the cold during winter.
I would wait to see what other schools reply before making the final decision if I were you. Also, if they are offering tours, you should take trips to the school you are interested in. So you can personally see for yourself if the school has good studying environment. You should consider to accept an offer when most of the school has sent out offers.
