Hey guys,
after being denied the CapOne Aspire Cash World and not wanting to wait the 45 days to get the Platinum, I think I am going to apply for the MBNA Smart Cash. Good payback options, ok Insurance, and I hear they are way more flexiable in terms of upping credit limits, etc than CapOne.
My question is, how easy or hard is it to upgrade to the World version to take off that $1250 cap? I pay my bills off every 2 weeks, have 3 current cards with high limits, $5000 and up, and have a mortgage, so my credit is good.
Any help would be appriciated, thanks.

You need a personal income of $60,000+ or total household income of $100,000+ ...or to just tell them that's your income... :P

see I did that with the CapOne card and got denied, I dont think I want to risk being denied again. Do you think it would work of I used the card for a few months, establish a relationship, and then call in and asked for the upgrade?
How if MBNA with offering good limits? I dont want a $1000 limit or anything that low

Hi Guys! I've had my smart cash (the regular one) for almost a year. The world card benefits seem really attractive. But I am a student now and it doesn't seem possible for a student to earn like 60K 75K... Is there any other way to get upgraded? Thanks!

As per angel_wing0's awesome thread, "It is possible to upgrade to the World Version right now for no annual fee if you have $60,000 income, $100,000 household income, or $15,000 annual spending."
I believe you need to satisfy one of those 3 conditions, although hasn't the 15k annual spend been increased to 20k (or soon to)? Thought I saw that somewhere.

This is a short story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about this, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

So I guess I can upgrade to the world whenever I hit that $15000 limit?

i've been using SC plat card for about 1.5 years now (1000~1500/mth on avg) but never got the offer until i realized I didn't correct the personal income/house income in my profile. It's been about 3 weeks since I corrected my income amount and I just got the offer to upgrade to the world version. I initially put it lower than 60K because I wanted to take advantage of the 5% for 6mth offer twice(plat and world).

I called them earlier and spoke to one of the reps. They changed my income level/total household income on my profile and told me to wait until the billing period (Dec.27th) for a result.
Should I call in within two weeks for a status update or just wait for the rewards/special offer page to hopefully reveal the upgrade?_______________
