$205 is current standard trade for one S 2tb. I got 237.50 for it with onyx bonus towards a 500gb one s bundle with two games, headset and thumb sticks. I was happy with this because I didn't have the games and did not need 2tb storage any more
$205 for a XB1 S 2TB.. Am I reading this correctly?

I think he means that 205$ for XB1 S is what is currently offered without the trade-in promotion towards the Xbox One X. I hope when you trade for a Xbox One X the price jumps to around 300$~.

Hey guys,

Plenty of stock of the regular Xbox One X at Dundas Square location.

Also, I was able to trade in my Xbox One and PS4 towards it bringing the price down to 199.99 + tax.

Apologies for the dumb question....

Since game saves are automatically uploaded to the cloud, and I can re-download any Games with Gold/digital games that I have on my account, I wouldn't need to back anything up onto an external hard drive, correct?
If you have your old and new XBox One at the same time you can transfer your downloaded games/apps via network. Faster than downloading everything again but it means still having your old XBox when you get your new one.

Having to download several hundred GB of files wouldn't be much fun.

Yes. $237.50 with onyx bonus.
That's 30 minutes away, I'll be there in 10.

xb1s is pretty cheap now. the 500GB version is $319 and comes with two $80 games. You get $200 plus you save the tax on that $200. I think if you have the 1TB version they'll probably give you a bit more than $200. That being said I won't bother for another couple of years. My TV doesn't even support HDR at this point.
I was thinking the same thing. Don't have a 4k tv yet but I know that I will be purchasing one within a year or two. I finally traded the xbox one for the X. They are offering $150 for the 500g but with the promo they are adding an extra $50 to make it $200 for the trade in. In a couple of years the xbox one/s will probably only net you $75 in trade in plus maybe some bonus. I don't see the one X droping in price for more than $100 in two years. So if you compare the xbox one X offer now vs a potential trade in offer in 2 years it would probably come out to costing you the same. So why not jump in now and start enjoying the benefits on a 1080p tv.

I have a 4k tv. just doesn't have HDR. In your case the benefits will be so minuscule. In 2 years time, the price may not change much, but there will be other incentives to buy the console, just like the S (free games, etc). I think in the end it'll come out to around the same value. Also in 2 years they'll have time to work out the kinks. The main reason I don't want to upgrade now is that I don't have $400 extra lying around.

Begrudgingly picked it up at EB... and in the process was reminded exactly why I hate shopping there.

- CSR took a solid 10 minutes to find the console "at the back"... and then stumbled back, clunkily dropping it on the ground.
- Proceeded to spend 5 minutes trying to sell me on their warranty, and how foolish I'd be to not purchase it. When I mentioned Microsoft's built in return policy on faulty consoles, he proceeded to flat out lie and say it takes months to get a replacement and how they'll charge a bunch of fees. From experience, this is absolutely not the case and the couple times I had faulty consoles, Microsoft was great to deal with. They even sent me a new console after the original warranty expired.
- Tried to upsell me way too aggressively on a bunch of random useless accessories and other promos
- Was reminded how EB has an archaic 'no return policy on opened products'

Overall... it really soured the experience. I have a bunch of EB credit I'll never use, and the $200 trade in on my fat X1 was too good to refuse.

I might bite the bullet here and grab it after thinking about it. I've had too many low ball deals on craigslist and kijiji on my Fat white Xbox One

Not sure I understand your question, but I got $200 off my Xbox One X purchase just like the ad says.
