[EB Games] E3 Deals (Trade 2 Get 1 Free)

Spotted this at my local EB Games today where they're going to have a Promotion to trade in 2 Eligible Games and get 1 Free Game for the E3 Event, starting on Sunday.

This is pretty good deal if you have games that are laying around your house.

I will post the List of Eligible games on Sunday.

Best Deal : Spotted Battlefield V at 79,99$ (Xbox One), 57,98 (PS4) and price matched both at my local Best Buy from the Wal-mart Deals.

Xbox One : 13,99$ (79,99$ - 60$ (Difference) - 6$ (Price Match) = 13.99$
Playstation 4 : 16,20$ (57,98$ - 37.99$ (Difference) - 3.79$ (Price Match) = 16.20$
Total for Both : 30.19$ without Taxes so around 34$

Going to trade them Both at EB Games for a newly announced game.

Eb games just lowered a ton of tivs in preparation for this promo. A lot of games are trading in at $9 now that were $15 a day ago.

Wait for PS4 Walmart's is $19.99 (https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/electronic ... 0198405151) and BestBuy's is $57.98 (https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/ba ... 4/12606501), does this make it an even better deal?

Also what if you wait until tomorrow to price match because it looks like the Best Buy's is going to expire and maybe go back to full price ($79.99) and it'll even be a better better deal?

Let me know if I'm wrong.

Ya I really hate this tactic. It's their own promotion.. To get people to trade stuff in, and then they go ahead and gimp it in hopes since you are there in store anyways, you will buy something else or maybe trade in your game for the $9 now... Sadly lots of people do that. I don't, but I've seen people just not care.

Fun fact, they offered someone like $10 for like 20 Xbox 360 and ps3 games (mixed) back when they accepted them for trade... And some dude in line overheard and offered them $15.. The employee actually said these words "that is not allowed, and it's against the law, we can call the police if you try that again. If you want to do that stuff, do it out of our store". Pretty sure if he waited for them to leave the store first, those games would be traded in for $10 already.

Wow I have a love hate relationship with ebgames lol. They are good at times, but bad at times. I definitely don't want to see them close down, but they also have to smarten up. We should get an RFDer to take over.

Seems like pretty good odds you're going to get burned on the Battlefield V but I guess you can always return it.

While it sounds like an overreaction I believe technically he's not wrong (I believe it qualifies as solicitation?).

An RFDer could never take over because if we're being honest, the policies they'd want to institute would cause them to bleed money even quicker.

They have way more than enough time to reduce the trade value. There's no way they don't know Walmart's offering this for $20 right now.
