can someone explain what the power trade thing means?

If i wanna pre order MLB 10 for example and trade in god of war collection and tekken 6, what would i get as the total credit?

you get

the current tivs for GOW collection + 50% more
the current tivs for tekken6 + 50% more

so according to tivs.ca

$15 + $7.50 = $22.50
$26.25 + $13.13 = $39.38
Total $61.88

Are the Power Trades going to cut off when you reach the cost of the game like they did in February's PT ?

Like if I bring in a 40 tiv and some other games will the PT only apply to the 40 tiv and the others will be on a seperate transaction ?

I called my local EB last night and the guy would not confirm these deals are coming. He did say he had some info but couldn't disclose it to me.
Where exactly has this info come from and who can vouch for it?
I mean is the OP an employee of EB or something?
We're all going to be pissed if we all get excited about deals that aren't going to happen. I want some kind of guarantee.

what do you mean? aren't they giving $260 credit towards a console purchase if you trade your 40gb ps3 and 2 games?

he probably meant that if you trade it in beside the month of march...they only give u like 100 bucks for it

It's COMPLETELY dependent on the CSR who is serving you. Some cut it off and some don't. Go in expecting to get cut off and maybe you'll get lucky.

After the fiasco with EB bumping TIVs for the MAG powertrade... all of them SHOULD know better (by now) to only bump the TIV and cap it off when the game is fully paid for. YMMV of course.

It looks like with the release of the DSiLL EB wont be doing any promos for the dslite for a while...

I cant really disclose much as it may lead me to getting in trouble lol. I said it in the OP and I'll say it again... all promos are CONFIRMED in the EBGames/Gamestop March promo booklet. These are for employee eyes only so either your CSR is an arrogant SOB, or they're not up to date on the upcoming promotions.

I think the info is specific enough and has been posted by a few people that it's pretty close... maybe some details are off but it should be pretty accurate.

If you want a guarantee, I will personally guarantee any information you've received from this anonymous message board is worth everything you've paid for it. :P

I might take advantage of this for one of those baseball games. However, I'm going to rent both titles first because I'm not too sure with this year's titles. MLB 10: The Show seems like it's similar to the last few years and MLB 2K10, I wasn't really wowed by the demo.

if you have both a PS3 and 360 get the PS3 version of FF13 no question.

no disc swapping or install on PS3 altho you can install all 18gb on xbox if you like

Uhhh, installed versions on 360 require that the disk be in the tray, so you will still be doing swapping. I already preordered by PS3 version.

Considering FF13 has dropped in Japan from over $90 to $40 in just under 3 months because they made too many copies I would hold out from paying $64.99 for it... Just my 2Cents

Not just because they made too many copies. It got sunk even more by the bad reviews of how they removed a lot of the things that people associated with Final Fantasy from the game. This thing flies more like Last Remnant as far as battle system than Final Fantasy.

no one in the right mind with a ps3 would get mlb2k10 over mlb 10 the show... the show will totally own 2k10 by a large large margin... so dont even hesitate...if u plan to get a baseball game and u have a ps3, get the show fo sho!

10 the show looks really good this year as well. I find the 2k baseball games a joke, I bought 2k9 last year when it came out and i traded it in the next day.

Be careful with that. I had one game bumped up to ~$55 and another $20 TIV that 'might' have gotten me to $80 after the 50% bump, but they were going to cap it at $59.99. That meant my second $20 game would only have counted for $5. This can work both ways, so beware...

Holy crap man - where do you get this sense of entitlement? Nobody owes you anything - people are just sharing deals, and as long as their name doesn't include "Ben" or "Heartless" then we can have some faith...
