[rfdlink=/forums/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]eBay[/rfdlink] has updated it's "Safe Payments Policy" to specifically NOT allow Google Checkout. I suspect sellers (especially multichannel) will be pretty upset about this.
It will be interesting to see what lame excuse [rfdlink=/forums/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]eBay[/rfdlink] uses to justify this. For example, they will probably say it's new so prone to fraud. Well, in reality it's a credit card gateway (and the same one [rfdlink=/forums/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]eBay[/rfdlink] spends millions with as the top google adwords user) and credit cards are specifically allowed along with gateways (verisign/cybersource/authorize.net, etc.)
Here's the relevent excerpt:
Payment Services not permitted on [rfdlink=/forums/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]eBay[/rfdlink]: AlertPay.com, anypay.com, AuctionChex.com, AuctionPix.com, BillPay.ie, ecount.com, cardserviceinternational.com, CCAvenue, ecount, e-gold, eHotPay.com, ePassporte.com, EuroGiro, FastCash.com, Google Checkout, gcash, GearPay, Goldmoney.com, graphcard.com, ********.com, ikobo.com, Liberty Dollars, Moneygram.com, neteller.com, Netpay.com, Nochex.com, paychest.com, payingfast.com, paypay, Postepay, Qchex.com, rupay.com, scripophily.com, sendmoneyorder.com, stamps, Stormpay, wmtransfer.com, xcoin.com

its pretty amusing though, since [rfdlink=/forums/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]Ebay[/rfdlink] still pays millions to google through the google ad-sense click-fraud programLOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked st7860 for this post.

Me too, [rfdlink=/forums/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]eBay[/rfdlink] costs so much for sellers, they make 3x more on the sale than us small business sellers do. :mad:_______________TRANCE/HOUSE Fan?

hopefully Google's Payment Service won't follow the Gaypal habit of randomly freezing entire accounts.

I'm going to sign up with them tonight.. I pay for a few things monthly like a shell account or two, I'll tell them I want to pay through GOOGLE from now on. I'd rather give my money to ANYONE else rather than GayPal
