[eBay.ca] $200 Petro Canada Gift Cards for $195 + Free $25 Fuel Savings Card

A seller on Ebay Canada has $200 worth of Petro Canada gift cards on sale for $195 and you get a free $25 fuel savings card. This is not as good as past deals where you could get the gift cards for $190, but hey it's better than nothing!

GCR (0.5%): Ebay GCR

It's only 0.5% from GCR ... 0.5% cash back on ALL gift cards, gas cards, ecards, egift cards or any cash cards.

Don't forget Ebates (1%): Ebay Ebates
GCR (2%): Ebay GCR
Wait till next month, it will be 190, 189, 188, just like last year..
And the big difference is the Ebates 5X, or aeroplan 5X, or at least a $15 off ebay coupon.

GDC gives 0.5% on gc, Ebates gives none:

Cash Back is not available on the purchase of eBay gift cards, Gift Cards & Coupons, Coins & Paper Money or Consumer Electronics. Cash Back is only paid on legitimate Winning Bid or "Buy It Now" transactions. Cash Back will not be earned on unpaid items with eBay. A maximum of $50 Cash Back may be earned on any single purchase.

I got all Ebates from Ebay giftcard purchase, and lots of times even more.
That said, it is your own risk, if you didn't get any.
I'll risk if Ebates offer 5X, as 0.5% if nothing.

Another thing, GCR is much more restricted as of their policy, like you have to add things after you click from GCR, which is a big hassle, at least from amazon..
Personally, I prefer Ebates more than anything else.

I don't think there is cash back with gcr either:

Note : No cash back on gift cards unless specified above.

Last promo Ebates.ca denied my cashback, they changed their policy after I made the order, after arguing and threatening ,they gave me my cashback but told me for future now you know there's no cashback for GC purchases from ebay.
I think Airmiles works too.

2 x $100 is definitely better than 4 x $50 ... It makes life much easier when you use them together with the fuel savings card ...

There are free 2.5c preferred gas price card for esso flowing around.
With that, the price is pretty much the same, and you can get 10% esso gift card easily....

I am going to hold out. Ive purchased petro cards for the past 2 years but..

Petro in my area is almost always 5-6cents more expensive then other stations.

If they bring back the 45 for 50 or 90 for 100 I'll get that. Til then the 2.5% savings and "gas savings card" aren't enough to entice me.

Math:

Assume there will be a deal like $100 GC for $90 as most of the folks want. It's 10% saving. (A)

This deal is 2.5% + 5 cents/l. (B)

CC cash back is 2%

If the price is $1/l,

(A) 90*2*98% = $176.4 for 200l. = $0.882/l (11.8% off)
(B) 195*98% = $191.1 Applied 5c/l gas price will be .95/l $200 can buy 210.53l, In total, you pay 191.1 for 210.53l = 0.908/l plus you still have 5cents off for the next 289.47l. (9.2% off)

2.9% difference + future saving.

If the price is 0.8/l, I will just post the results:
(A) = 0.706/l (11.75% off)
(B) = 0.717/l plus 5cents off for the next 233.33l (10.38% off)

1.56% difference plus future saving.

If the price is 1.2/l,
(A) = 1.058/l (11.83% off)
(B) = 1.099/l plus 5cents off for the next 326.09l (8.42% off)

3.9% difference plus future saving.

To sum it up, if you fill up with regular, you should go for this deal. If you need premium, it might not be a great saving (around 8% from the post). However if you always fill up with petro-can, go for it!
