Unfortunately Ebates won't let you get cash back if your redeeming a gift card as part of the order :(

Wow that sucks, so much for treating GCs like cash as they should. Are coupon codes at least allowed?

Received all five gift cards in five separate emails about 10 minutes after the purchase confirmation. Transferred them all to one card via: https://ca.hotels.com/page/gcbalance/. And made my booking with the TAKE7JAN18 (extra 7% off bookings til Jan 28) coupon code I found online and can confirm that bookings with giftcards and coupons do work.

Thanks for the code. However, it doesn’t work for every booking. I just booked a room and this particular code didn’t work for my location.

Here is the fine print associated to this coupon:

To use this coupon, you must be over 18 years old and resident in Canada. You may only use this coupon for bookings made between 12:01 am MT on 01/22/2018 and 11:59pm MT on 01/28/2018 on the Canadian version of Hotels.com for a stay to be completed between 01/22/2018 and 03/04/2018. Bookings are subject to availability and the hotel’s terms and conditions.
This coupon can’t be used for:
Package bookings i.e. hotel + flight
Bookings made through Group Travel Services
Bookings paid for at the hotel
Bookings paid for in a foreign currency
Bookings at non-participating hotels
Bookings made prior to receipt of this coupon
Go to http://ca.hotels.com/page/hotel-exclusi ... cale=en_CA for a list of non-participating hotels.

I got this Ebay email this morning while I was booking for a trip, what great timing!! :)

I purchased enough cards to cover it plus I used the 10% off code I received this week from Hotels.com - EMLJAN10
*It's targeted through an email link, so I'm not sure if it will work for everyone. It may work through the app though.

You can also try TAKE25JAN18 - It's $25 off of $250
*Hotels.com Canada: Save $25 CAD when you spend $250 or more .Travel by 03/04/2018 & Book by 1/28/2018.

Bought one but overall I find Priceline.com cheaper, especially with their 7-15% off Express Deal email coupons.
