[eBay.ca] Dyson Official Outlet: Dyson V8H Refurb - $343.99 (20% off) from Dyson eBay Outlet, V8B $287.99 | V7B $223.99

The Dyson eBay Outlet has the V8H refurbished cordless vacuum with both the standard and 'fluffy' head (for hardwood) on sale for $343.99 (20% off). While not the cheapest it's been, it's a decent deal nonetheless for a great vac. The V8B (without the extra head) is also on sale for $287.99, and the V7B for $223.99 (all 20% off).

Thanks OP -- been keeping my eye on the V8H with the fluffy head for a while. You mentioned this isn't the lowest it's been, do you have an idea on how low it's gone?

At this price though... I can already see the money starting to slide out of the wallet :P

Cheers!

That's correct - lowest for V8H was somewhere around $287-$290 or thereabouts

How did you pull that off?
There was an eBay coupon of 15% that could be applied on top of these sale prices.

Ended up pulling the trigger on this one.

$343.99 + $44.72 (tax)
- $5 ebay coupon (nudge)
- 1% ebates ($3.83)
- 1.25% credit card cash back ($4.80)

Wasn't able to double dip with any ebay % off coupons, but I'm happy with the price. Sure it could get better with time, but thats always a crap shoot with ebay.

Cheers!

I just returned my V8 to Costco. 7 min runtime on max performance mode. Why don’t they have replaceable batteries like power tools? Also it takes 5 hours to charge the battery.

So then don't use it on max mode or use it sparingly. It works exceptionally well on normal and I can do my entire house on a single charge. Unless you live in a festering cesspool, there's no point in using max mode everywhere.

I would be wary about Dyson refurbs. The battery that came with the V6 wont hold a charge. Waiting to hear back from Dyson about a replacement. I heard Dyson refurbs being high quality, but that wasn't the case for me.

Edit: Dyson just sent me a new battery. I am impressed, I thought I would have to ship them the old battery first.

I only have carpet on my stairs, everywhere else is hardwood, and for stairs you need the max suction mode, if you actually feel the suction on the normal mode with your hand it’s a joke.

There may be an issue with your V8. I can’t use my V7 on carpet on the MAX setting because the suction is so strong the powerhead sticks to the carpet.

The only time I need more than regular mode is for sucking up chunks easily, like catfood crunchies.

Where did you hear that? I always tell people that Dyson refurbs are hit and miss not like Apple refurbs.

I bought three refurbs from them, every one of them were in pristine condition.

So the regular head on the v8h/v8b/v7b (i assume it's the exact same head on all), can it be used on hardwood/laminate/tile? Or carpet only and must use fluffy?

And the fluffy only works on flat surfaces, not carpet?

The regular head (direct drive) is the same, but the v8h has a extra head soft roller for hardfloor
