Man, how come the non-HD model has an SD card slot? If the HD had it, I would jump on it. I don't want the lower res, non-IPS screen.

I see, alas too late, that there was an ebay flash $15 off $75 coupon last night, which would have made this even hotter.

Android 5.1.1 and you can install from playstore assuming you did the step after and installed the gapps package (google apps)

So the 10" were new in box, and the 7" are hit or miss?

No, 10" were also in the same shoe. Mine came without much physical damage but it wasn't new I can tell, because there were finger prints here and there especially the back. There wasn't anything to protect the screen when it arrived, just the tablet in bubble wrap inside the box.

I wonder if you could remove the screen and use it as a raspberry pi monitor

Hey misterlamed, it looks like RFD has truncated a bunch of the URLs you posted. I think if you remove the leading HTTPS:// it might fix it? Thanks.

Bought a 7hd for fun, have a couple of uses for it though.
I bought a 7hd strictly for watching movies on the plane for an upcoming flight. After test driving it, seems like the perfect buy. Can download VLC player and watch movies full screen and they are totally watchable on the 7in screen which I was concerned it would be too small; it also plays most if not all formats so no need to convert anything. Played a movie 1hr40min and battery went from 100% to 70% so should be able to get at least 2 movies in before recharging (however I also have a portable power bank and there are usually power plugs on the planes anyways). As an added bonus it also has a micro-hdmi port so can bring/watch movies on a larger tv screen as long as it has hdmi input wherever I am.

Edit: PS: How much was a Arc 10HD when it was available?
Twice the price of the 7hd ($59.99), also twice the weight.
