[eBay.ca] Paypal Digital Gifts: Buy $500 Air Canada Gift Card for only $460 - Email Delivery

Hey Guys,

Looks like the Deals site updated their gift cards. They now have a Air Canada gift card, 500 for 460. Seems like you can only buyone, which is a bummer but 500 bucks isn't bad for a flight.

Thanks OP. Would love if you could pay Aeroplan fees with it but unfortunately that's not possible in case anyone else was curious. You can pay fees using the GC if booking direct with AC though

This link is not working for me, it allows me to put in my cart but then sends to page that says not working? Anyone else with this problem?

Are you referring to the taxes you have to pay when you redeem Aeroplan miles?

I wondered if I could pay Aeroplan fees/taxes with it. You can only pay fees/taxes if booking direct with Air Canada

Well that's only logical. The gift card is for air canada, not aeroplan. They are separate companies

Buy two tickets separately:
Purchase 2 $500 gc using separate ebay accounts.
Pay $500 gc plus $87.50 with a credit card to buy first ticket.
Pay $500 using second gc plus another $87.50 using cc.
You could also buy third gc from ebay to pay $87.50 X 2 but it would be alot more hassle to save few bucks

Can this be used on air canada vacation packages?
I don't think so. Just checked the air canada site and it says:

The Air Canada Gift Card is easy to use: simply provide your gift card number and security code (PIN) at time of payment on either the Canadian or U.S. edition of aircanada.com, or when you call Air Canada Reservations* at 1-888-247-2262 (within Canada and the United States only). You can also use your Air Canada Gift Card:

at an Air Canada airport counter in Canada**
at Air Canada counters located at select airports in the U.S. **
when you purchase a flight with your travel agent
*There are no Call Centre booking fees when you book a flight through Air Canada Reservations.
**eGift Cards cannot be used at airport counters.

There is no mention of air canada vacations.

As long as you are able to select seats, you can sit beside whoever you wish.

Just be aware your credit card insurance coverage is most likely invalid if you pay tickets with anything other than the credit card (there are a few exceptions but I don't remember which cards cover partial payments)
