[eBay.ca] Petro Canada GC $195 for $200 and $30 fuel savings

eBay is selling the Petro $195 for $200 (2x $100 cards) again with 5cents fuel savings over 600 liters. Maybe a bit of relief for from the pumps

Using $1.40/liter as an example

Buy GC with your favourite rewards credit card
$195 for $200 is equivalent to 3.5 cents off per liter
5 cents off fuel savings
8 cents off per liter on your first $200 and 5 cents per liter after that

How is that not better than 4 cents. It only takes a few fills to kill the gift card. The fuel savings well, eventually.

Whether it's hot, I'd be super interested in something that gets more of a discount on fuel and faster upfront but as it stands this is good for those who can't use the Irving GC deal

I did NOT say that Shell one was better. Just saying this deal is not as hot. Read again.

I think I'll wait around until the next one, I already have a full 600L card from the previous time I bought and 4% cashback from my amex is better bang for my buck.

Question abouit he RBC card and Petro Canada.

Can we link an RBC card but still pay wit a Petro Gift card?

If yes how would the process go to save as much as possible with an RBC card, Fuel Saving and PC gift card?

tho u didn't say shell was better, you are sort of knocking the deal...OP never really said this deal is hot in the first place.
the way how evoviii breaks down the math, it doubles the savings you would have gotten from shell.

What I do is I buy the gift card online (ebates, ebay, whatever.). Instore you go in, give them your petro points card, the 5c off and ask to pay 1$ by VISA and balance by gift card. Done. You say for example 60$ and pay. You pump whatever you need and the system adjust everything if you haven't used the entire 60$ (lets say you bought for 50$, so your gift card will be used for 49.10$ ish and visa for 80c).
