Did you give the buyer the tracking #? I wonder if they didn't know there was one, so they thought claiming they didn't get the package would be an easy refund. If you have tracking # with confirmed delivery, I don't see how you would lose a dispute with Paypal.

It's possible he's trying to scam me because I sent him an iPhone 4 motherboard that came from a dropped iPhone in which I stated no returns and it Probably didn't work.
The thing is the tracking number shows its been delivered to his city but doesn't show who to or postal code.
Yes I gave him the tracking number.

I hope you didn't intentionally sell him that motherboard knowing It was broken..
Regardless the dispute Is In your favor, As long as It delivers In the right city then that's somewhat enough proof.. If the package was delivered to the wrong address then otherwise stated on the box then that Is CP's fault.. Pretty sure they can track the destination of the box If CP was asked to from PayPal or something..
I'm guessing you went to a CP location and bought the shipping there right? As to doing It online they mail you a receipt/print out that you could have used as proof but you didn't!_______________

I have sold on eBay and it is a catch 22 situation. The buyer could also leave you bad feedback which is not good if you sell consistently on eBay. If it is a very small amount of money, I would probably refund him the money, personally. It is better to give a little than lose business over bad feedback provided.

the motherboard worked before i took it out, but since it was from a dropped iphone there a risk of it not working. $140 is alot for me to lose, if i can't get Canada Post to issue a refund im going to fight any disputes coming my way.

the buyer is trying to scam you, don't be so gullible, don't give him a cent of the money. and blacklist his user ID from buying from you in the future, you can add his name in the settings.

Wait.... the tracking shows delivered ?
If yes, whatever happens with Paypal/the buyer you'll win it.
Don't refund him and you are not eligible for CP insurance since its delivered.

Does the tracking include a signature? If not, it's possible it was left in his mailbox and someone swiped it, though highly improbable. The postie just has to scan the package at the location for an item to be marked as delivered. Was it an apartment you sent it to? Again, a small possibility it ended up in a neighbours box by accident. I'm always extra careful with this kinda thing but human error happens. If that's the case, it may just turn up.
In future pay the extra $2 or whatever to get a signature._______________

Would having a signature really help? I've never been asked to show ID when signing for a package at the door. Anyone could sign anything that they want, couldn't they? It doesn't really prove a lot.

But it means someone answered the door and signed for the package.
If you really wanted to combat against this, perhaps for a more valuable item, you could request ID when signing. Item is then sent to local post office/drugstore and held until the addressee comes and picks it up._______________

Sure, but if someone wanted to scam OP (or if it really did get misdelivered), they could just say "well that's not my signature, any Joe Blow can sign for and take a package if you knock on his door, it doesn't prove that it was delivered to me". There's nothing really connecting the signature to the addressee. Tons of times I've had packages delivered to my apartment and I have to go down to the lobby to sign for them, I just walk up to the courier, sign and we're done. Anyone who happens to see him waiting there could do the same thing. I could be a pizza delivery guy for all he knows.
