I was at the Markville EBG, and noticed that they had posters all over the ceiling advertising a buy one used game, get the second half off promotion.
There were tons of PS2 games in a bin for under $9.99.. you might be able to score something nice there. Also, there were Gamecube/xBox/360 games in a bin that was bunched together with the $9.99 bins, that showed a sticker of above $9.99.. these aren't included in the $9.99 sale, as they were "mysteriously placed there by someone".
I asked the sales clerk why they weren't, when they were in the same "bundle" of bins as the $9.99 ones.. and he just said they weren't - and refused to honor the price. (How can an entire bin of games be accidentally moved there by a customer?)

kuqdew, if the second game is the same price, or less expensive - yes.
There were a few for the DS in the same $9.99 bundle, but I didn't ask about the price (likely not). There were of course regular used DS games that qualify for the BOG1/2.

Another point to remember is how slow they seem to be in updateing thier computers when games drop in price. Took them almost 2 months to update the price on thier used FEAR and Tony Hawk games for the 360. Those games were actually 10 & 20 dollars MORE used then I could buy them for new elsewhere!!
You know with so many of us having the same opinion of EB games I dont understand how they stay in buisness.

Basically, they don't really have any direct competition as there aren't any other major gaming-only stores (Microplay is the only one that comes even close and I only know of one location). Their game selection is better than the big box stores, especially their PC titles. If you want a lesser known title, EB will usually carry it while the others won't. I'm not crazy about their lousy trade-in and resale prices though and their staff is often snotty. They can drop the attitude -- they make $8-9/hr selling video games, hardly the pinnacle of one's life.
Thanks, OP. I'll check out EB tomorrow.
