I knew when I left today that if I try to ask for a T2 + x.xx they would point out the November release banner. Hence the reason why I spent 19.99x2 for RV2 @ BB coz I didn't want to drive back and forth. Yeah I guess now I believe the whole YMMV when it comes to EB/GS CSRs. The one I went to didn't care. GS @ Shopper's World let me do T2+ x.xx for anything not just November releases. EB @ Shopper's let me T3 anything doesn't matter if its on the list or not. So I'll keep going to those 2 stores. Closer to me and friendlier staff. I now have POs for GT5, GoW3:UE, Darksiders and Dante's Inferno. All this by only using a lil cash and mostly my T4G2F BB credit. So I still have my EB credits intact. If RP does a T2/T3 for Darksiders and its easily attainable, then guess whats gonna happen to my Darksiders PO @ EB? I might switch out GT5 PO to Darksiders if I need credit. I just picked that one for now since its 69.99.

Good job with the trade in... just remember that GoW3: UE is $89.99 so you need to have some extra credit for it (unless you paid upfront which i recommend). When i PO'd it, i asked if the price will change and the rep told me that if i paid it now then i get it at that price even after it goes up. Not sure if thats true or not but i figure why not. I know if the price goes down, they will be forced to pay the difference as i used credit + TI (thus i can argue that my TI covered up to 69.99 and i should only need to pay the difference with credit).

DS will most likely be a T2/T3 title in Jan but judging by the current list of games if its a T2, you can forget it. If its a T3, then it could be pretty hot still. Of course a sale here or there could alter rather a T2 is hot or not...

I would also keep GT5 PO as it looks like it will be an insanely good game that might sell out @ release as everyone seems to want a copy (even people i don't know are asking if i can PO it for them so it looks like everyone wants a copy...).

man totally don't know how you guys do it...i tried today to get a T2 plus $10 to get NSMBW and they (markville) wouldn't take 2X Wheelman (360/PS3)...understandably i guess since its the same game (they also claimed to day was the last day to do it?) but they like laughed when I asked about the tiv...like oh no not another one...its rather embarassing LOL but oh well so I decided to go grab a Mass Effect from a FS and then proceeded to another EB this time Woodside and was told the games DON"T QUALIFY...i was like WTF Markville just said they did but the girl there insisted they didn't...sigh... I feel defeated i just wanted to get it for a birthday gift too...

its just crazy to see so many successful stories and the one time i try i get shot down...FML

LOL! yeah well I wasn't gonna go to that extreme but there were a few other choice words i wanted to tell her i really hate the csr there i knew i should have avoided that location...is there any truth to the T2 for new releases promo being done?

as far as i know, it ends at the end of november, which would be monday.. trade 2 + 19.99 for any release from september to november... trade 2 + 9.99 if its 59.99 retail...

The second location most likely rejected your request because they had too many of the title traded in already. Its kinda in their policy (fine prints) that they can reject certain titles if they want (namely "some titles can be excluded"). That's something that could happen on the back end of deals (even if its the first day the deal went live... just due to the # of RFDers around... and this deal is now 2 days old).

What you could do is try again at yet another location and see if you have better luck. Also you can do T3 instead of T2 + x... that way you get rid of the extra title instead of paying cash. I did quite a few trade ins with 2x Wheelman (PS3 + 360) and 1 Mass Effect. Of course this is only possible if the TIVs don't tank tomorrow (as of late, sunday has not been a big drop date so its still quite possible the games are > 8 tomorrow).

You could also search through the thread to see if anyone had success at certain locations /w certain reps (or PM them to see which rep). Things like that might improve your chances.

I like certain EBs where the computer screen is under the desk kinda and the look at it thru a glass top which is also their counter/desk. So I see everything that they do. I remember seeing it in their promo ads something like "May discontinue at anytime" So I think that's what happened. I wonder how many they got lol.. BB/FS is cleaned out and EB will have excessive amounts for the holidays lol.. oh well im glad most of us got our turn on this. i was able to do 3 for me which im really happy about. all i need now is Bayonetta and Army of Two 40 Day PO's and thats it (which I have enough credit @ EB to cover it and 2 more games - no alot of credit of course compared to GVRTrader)

Thanks I tried to use my credits smartly. And I know grappos13 wasn't impressed with the way I did it which broke me down.. thats another line on my wrist coz I got all emo.. but GVR thanks Again, the reason I spent 19.99x2 for RV2 coz I didnt have time to check around which cheap games @ BB i could get that had <+8 I called and RV2 was good so I went for that I'm happy No thanks to grappos13 for breaking me down lol JUST KIDDING but thanks for checking the TIVS on day one

If I price match with FS for Guitar Hero Smash Hits, would I be able to turn in two copies of it to Best Buy and essentially get $74? Do they only allow one copy at a time per day?

Sorry, just saw that it's limited to one of the same title per day at best buy. I really want uncharted 2, am I just better off buying multiple copies at futureshop and then trading it in at another future shop since 2 copies of guitar hero = $60 and futureshop will probably have Uncharted 2 for 59.99?

I also wasn't able to follow how a poster was able to get Guitar Hero for 12.80? Don't they only beat the PM by 10%?

yea they beat it by 10%, cause the GH:SH is 69.99 at FS the price difference is $51 and 10% is $5.1 off so 18-5.1 = 12.8~12.9
