Eco Energy Rebate question
We already had the initial audit completed.I feel the person who did the audit was not the most thorough. But as I am living in a townhouse I really don't think we will be doing many upgrades besides the furnace and attic insulation. My quick question?? After the initial audit do you receive any more paper work or a separate package detailing the results. The auditor did leave a package with us but it didn't really list many specific details on our house besides saying our attic insulation was R12 and recommended to increase to R50. I kind of thought we would be receiving a package in the mail with some sort of scoring system???
Thanks in advance

When the eco energy auditor completes your audit they will usually sit down with you to discuss the events that just took place and review there findings briefly. The should also recomend certain items that may need attention in order for you residence to be more energy efficient and they should also inform you of any rebates offered should you decide to complete these repairs/replacement.
Approximately 3 weeks later you will recieve a package with much more details on the audit that took place and will also recomend what can be done in order to increase the energy efficiency of your home fromt the point it's at now (rating will be supplied) to where they feel you should be based on similar homes in your area. You should find that this report is fairly detailed, but if you have any questions your auditor should be more then happy to answer any questions you have.
Once you feel you've completed all the repairs you wanted, call back the auditor for the final inspection/audit.

It depends on the company and individual performing the ecoENERGY home energy efficiency assessments.
Much of the report is faily standard, other than the specific recommendations for your home which relate to specific ecoENERGY retrofit grants.
We couldn't find an example of an ecoENEGY residential energy efficiency report so we wrote about the one we received on our home blog (under the ecoenergy page) if you are interested.
As for the followup or second energy efficiency assessment, there is only the paperwork which the assessor completes and has you sign before she / he leaves, stating the grants you will be receiving; no follow-up report, at least not for us.
I hope that helps.
