Single core, 1024x600...hot deal?
I think not.
The fact that it's single core doesn't lead credence to ultimate crap, but how it performs does. In this case, it doesn't make a strong suit for it not being crap. (Case in point, dual core dell venue vs Asus Hd7 with it's quad core both perform similarly)

So yeah, terrible deal.

Honestly it looks low end. However if you got shop.ca promos and codes, you can score it for even cheaper + cash back from ebates. If you can grab it for under $50 it would be a pretty good deal.

The Z2460 is faster than the Snapdragon S4 and Tegra 3, additionally it's the same PPI as the iPad Mini (non-retina one), has a decent sized battery (assuming it really is 4100mAh) and comes with 1GB RAM (better than the 512 a lot of cheap tablets come with). For $90 it's actually pretty impressive, although with all the cheap sales on the 2012 Nexus 7 tablets going on it's still not an amazing buy, just because the software is likely stuck at 4.0.4.

It has no GPS. Otherwise would be great to be used as navigator in car.

Holy Jebus! ECS is still around? They were making cheap crap almost twenty years ago and it seems they haven't changed much.

The reason I am looking at Intel-based solution is that I currently own an Asus mediatek dual-core arm based tablet. The performance on the dual-core mediatek tablet is not good. If someone have experience with other intel based tablet such as the Dell Venue 7" or 8" and you have also owned other dual/quad-core arm-based tablet, please comment on your personal preference. Would you recommend an intel-based solution or arm-based solution running Android.

From the reviews on line, Dell Venue 7 opens Youtube not as fast as Nexus 7. But still a good deal at the price of $150. Today FS has the Venue 8 on sale at same price. I wonder when Venue 7 will drop to $100?
