How do these compare to Headrush Icon or Edifier MP700, sound wise?

I am very curious to know the same and I actually have all three. LoL I haven't opened the Edifier yet, thinking I should have got non Bluetooth 1280t refurb instead for $79.99 as someone posted.

I don't need blue tooth, because I just connect these toe Alexa dots, sooooo sort getting half the power RMS for a little less price.

I guess Edifiers in future will never sell any of there Speakers below $80 in the future including Black Friday/BD.... all were lucky to churn these for $62
What makes you say that?

Go with the 1280t if you don't need the Bluetooth, better SQ according to reviews.

Well in that case anyone in Oakville want an unopened blue tooth speaker set from OP deal for same cost? I'll wait around to buy the 1280t refurb.

I think M-Audio AV32 sounds better for music (this are my computer speakers), but these cost like 40% less and have Bluetooth support which is awesome. If you are using these for TV/movies or attached to a laptop, its amazing sound for the money. Once you start spending $200+ pretty much anything will sound better.

The bluetooth is what makes these speakers such a compelling package. You might not need bluetooth right now, but imo the bluetooth connectivity gives these limitless usage scenarios, otherwise it's just another ho hum speaker set for a decent price.

Any idea what would be the best/cheap way to hook up a sub to these speakers (or 1280t)? It has been suggested to hook up a passive sub to the right channel output in parallel with right speaker. I see two issues with that 1) the sub will only pick up the bass from the right channel 2) the right channel will become quieter so will need to be re-balanced somehow (at the source?). Maybe a better way would be to open the left speaker up, and hook up the sub output to both left and right, and maybe put a diode on both channels so that the sound doesn't become mono?

Is this price for one or two speakers?

I'm seeing $99 on Amazon for two speakers. Not sure if the edifier $62 deal is for one or two?
