Perhaps post at torontomazda3.com and see if they can help you there, there are a few dealerships who frequent that forum, so they could possible offer advice and their comments.

Edit: Markham Mazda is VERY unprofessional - Sticky Situation with a Mazda Dealership
So my rust proofing warranty has been voided because I had the inspection done at another Mazda dealership (Markham Mazda).
I bought my car back in 2005 at Morningside Mazda (Now Agincourt Mazda) and to validate the rust warranty, I have to bring it in every 2 years to have it inspected. I purchased it in July of 05 and I brought it in for inspection July of 07 but to a different dealership because it was closer to my house. The advisor says they can do it for me to validate the warranty so I went ahead with it since I was there for an oil change anyways. I mentioned to the advisor that there is surface rust on my car as I pointed out all these rust dots on my white car. He told me to just buff it up and that should take care of it. Apparently, they should’ve covered the buff and claybar (sp?) for 3 years and when I brought it in, it was only 2 years into my purchase. Not thinking it was something serious as a buff would’ve solved it, I didn’t try to take it any further.
Fast forward to 2009 and I noticed that there are more and more surface rust as it’s becoming more obvious so I took it into the same dealership to inquire about the rust proofing. This time, they told me I have to take it to the original place I purchased the car. It was only about 10 km apart so I drove there the same day. I spoke to the service manager and she told me my warranty has been voided because I didn’t bring it into their dealership for the 2 year inspection. I had Markham Mazda print out a copy of the inspection report to show to Agincourt Mazda that it was done 2 years in.
I was told to talk to the service manager at Markham Mazda and see what can be done as I was given bad advice from the beginning and that led to my warranty being voided. I called him and he was rude the whole time. He cut me off in the middle of my sentence and right from the get-go, he told me he can’t do anything for me. I haven’t asked him for anything but to understand their policy first before I try to see what else can be done. He tells me the service advisor that serviced my car was fired. That helps… He was fired so obviously, he did something wrong and was dismissed and as a representative of their dealership, they need to own up to the mistake. Anyways, I was misinformed by someone representing their dealership at the time. I can’t complain to Mazda Canada as they have no jurisdiction over rust proofing since it’s contracted to other companies. I am more ticked off at the manager’s attitude and his reluctance to hear my story out.
Agincourt manager is nice enough to cut me a deal for the buffing and claybar as well as to try and reinstate my warranty but to pay for an admin fee which varies depending on the inspection outcome but there’s no guarantee. My question is if I should just let it be and take the offer or try to get Markham Mazda to foot the other half of the bill as a form of compensation.
I paid close to 1000 dollars for the whole package and now, I have nothing.

I have to admit that the customer service seems a lot better now at Agincourt and I don't recognize anyone there. I use to not like taking my car there but I think I'll frequent it more now that it seems different in a positive way.

My rustproofing was done at my dealer but is warranted by a third party (I forget who) and inspections can be done at any of the third party warranty dealers. Not sure if yours is the same, something to look into.

Big waste of time... my girlfriend has contacted them numerous times because of issues with her dealership and they do not repsond/get back to her. They don't care. This is why I will never buy Mazda (well if I do it would be from Jeff The Biz... otherwise, everyone in that company seems incompetent)

The dealership that you paid to do the 2 year inspection certified that the inspection would fill certain requirements. They were wrong and negligent so they are on the hook. You just have to be able to reel them in. If you get the fired manager to vouch for his statements that would be good. You likely need a lawyer to force the dealership to fullfill its responsibilities.
Another route would be to show that the work was done with competence and that your warranty should not be voided....you need a lawyer.
The third and from what I have read the least likely resolution: Get Mazda to smack those dealers heads together and get them to treat you fairly (100% coverage). Mazda has certified them as representatives of Mazda. Mazda should care.
I like the going to the Mazda forums idea....it does not cost anything.
APA canada may offer some good advice.

So I left a message for the GM at Markham Mazda on Thursday night and he has yet to return my call. Don't know if he's busy or if he's just avoiding me because the service manager may have gotten to him before me. I just want to let him know of my situation and what he thinks as well as he should know that the service manager was being rude and unhelpful.
I'll call him again today and see what the deal is.
I'm also getting my car buffed and claybarred on Friday for a discounted price and the service manager at Agincourt will try to get my warranty reinstated for an admin fee. We'll see how that goes._______________

Most rustproofing processes will give a warranty for corrosion, not surface blemishes that can be polished out.

Hello,
The surface rust is covered for 3 years according to both dealership managers and it's free of charge for claybarring and buffing. I should've had it done when I had my first rust inspection because it was there.
Anyways, I am typing up a long complaint letter and thinking of sending it in to Mazda Canada and any other organizations or companies that care so that the word gets out in terms of their customer service. I had a talk with the Markham Mazda gm today and it went from bad to worse. The same attitude as the service manager and even worse in terms of cutting me off mid-sentence. This time, instead of a mutual hang up, he hung up on me.
There was no swearing or cussing nor was there any yelling or screaming. I was at work and my manager's cubicle is right beside mine so I couldn't raise my voice. The gm just doesn't want to deal with problems so he hung up. For more details, I can post it up later when I edit and finalize the details so it looks polished.
Thinking of starting a facebook group too to boycott Markham Mazda. They're really getting on my nerves. Please let me know if it's against any rules or laws in doing so. I don't want to get in trouble but I do want to get the word out._______________
