I use wiper fluid because I'm not a fan of scraping.

scrapers work fine 90% of the time, I prefer the extra long ones with a brush on the end so I Can stay on one side of the car and scrape the entire thing!
if it's too thick or hard, just wiper fluid and warm it up a little longer!

Where do you live? Honestly, in my opinion electric scrapers are a waste unless you live in like Nunavut with snow every day and your car is parked always outside.
The only time I can imagine it being useful is during freezing rain when ice is stuck so hard to your windshield and scraping it off might scratch it.
BTW, don't wiper fluid and use wipers when there's ice/snow on your windshield. That's gonna destroy the wiper and the blade motor.

I had one but never used it . Cant remember why. trying to untangle the cord and plug it in prolly kills the deal. if i recall, it simply didnt make things easier. the heat did nothing.

Never use your wiper blades when there is ice on your windsheild, it will just damage your wiper. Thus you cannot use windshield washer fluid.
Best way is to start up car, put defroster on and scrape away old fashion way. Not too hard but just enough to get the ice off. I wouldn't even turn on the wipers then, until the ice has all melted away (every bit)

"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." - US President, Calvin Coolidge
