That cylindrical plug is the ground, so it does not matter.

ELECTRICIANS: any danger/difference in using PC power cable looking like this?
I have this cool looking cable I found at work that's intended for aviational use with a medical device.
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE, is that the cylindrical plug of the three prongs., instead of a solid cylinder., the prong is U-SHAPED.
Basically take a plate of metal, and bend it-making a U-shape.
d'YA THINK my PC would care?
I'm really paranoid about this._______________**~_Retention Plan Up for Grabbz/RENT?_~**Thx RFD: i7 920 @ 2.67GHz 9Gb DDR3

Feb 19th, 2006 08:50 PM #3can you give me any assurance to your certainty and professioN? I knew it was the ground...but I was just dumb-founded why the shape was any different??? From what I can see...that's all that's different. Maybe there's better shielding in the cable, making it safe for aviation use???
