Empire Theatres is happy to bring back Toonie Matinees for March Break. Visit any of the following locations between Monday March 10 and Friday March 14 to see a select matinee for only $2.
Toonie Matinee Movie titles include the following (may vary by location):
The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep
The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggie Tales Movie
Bee Movie
Alvin and the Chipmunks

They're mostly kids movies to target the "family" audiences. And some of the movies they show for $2 are already out on DVD.
I did enjoy Alvin and the Chipmunks -- it's different from the cartoon but good for what it was.

Got the e-mail about it and forwarded to my parents. They will have my son and his cousin beginning of next week. He wants to see the Bee Movie.
Hubby and I are thinking of taking our daughter to the Veggie Tales movie.

Not all of us have 52" Plasmas and surround sound theatre audio at home. Nice outing for the family, even if some of these movies are already out on DVD.
