With respect to your furnace number. If you replace your furnace with a 95% efficient furnace you get $790 back from the Feds. The province of ON matches for another $790; totaling $1580.
You need to have a Home Energy Audit in order to qualify for these rebates. When you do your audit, the inspector will provide you the details as to who offers what. You can also get this information from this site for the Retrofit rebate program (download the rebate chart):http://www.homeenergyontario.ca/gree...g=en&sec=green

Energy Efficient Rebates.
I've spend many hours trying to figure out which levels of govern. offer which rebates as well as which companies offer what rebates. So far I've seen:
Eco Energy
Ontario Power Authority
Enbridge Gas
Home Renovation Tax Credit.
I know that HRTC isn't energy efficient related but if I replace furnace, windows, A/C etc, I get a credit therefore worth mentioning.
I'm also confused as to which rebate I get since I've seen two different rebates from eco...eg... for replacement from mid to high efficiency furnace I've read $790. from one web site and $1580. from another.
I'm confused.

After doing a bunch of the research myself, I documented the info here. Has links to the government pages and others, but also summarizes the "normal" cases as well.
