it'll be a dark day in hell before i buy another epson printer or their cartridges.
i have heard terrible things about epson and have first hand experience with their shoddy products.
Wow, ordered yesterday afternoon and it got here before I even arrived at the office. It's big unit and sorry to hear about your bad experience. I've had nothing but good ones using epson printers, it's Canon I had bad experiences. I've had the R220 and R260 and mainly used it for printing on CDs and DVDs and the first set that came with my printer totally blew away my expectations. I was hoping to print atleast 100 discs but I ended up not running out of black until about 350 discs and the rest of the cartridges were around 15-20% left. Aftermarket cartridges cost me $2.50 each so $15 would get me a fresh new set and again exact same output quantity and quality as OEM cartridges. There are aftermarket cartridges for this printer as well:

$30 and if you order more then $45 it's free shipping so get two sets or a spindle of blank dvds should do it. I'm having a baby soon and just got into the expensive SLR world so I will want to print the occasional picture so this will do the job just fine I think. From what I can see so far the unit looks pretty decent and comes with a auto duplexor too.
