No luck with the Simplii app either for fingerprint login on a Samsung A5, but this new EQ app is slick and fingerprint works perfectly with no hassle. Kudos to EQ for the update!
Hmmm, Simplii and cibc android app do support the fingerprint login. Which year of the A5 are you using?

Agreed, the interface looks much better now, at least nothing like the webpage interface.

2017. Just for fun I tried again to turn on fingerprint ID in the Simplii app settings and I get an unhelpful prompt that my device/software aren't supported and I should go check my manufacturers support page for more information (yeah right LOL).

Yup, you can get the GIC's by logging into EQ or by calling them, they have to be over $100 for each but you could get multiple GIC's as well.

Sorry I never got gics before.

Is there any advantage to buy several gics rather than 1 if it's for the same term (3 months)?

Not really. That's useful if you want to stagger maturities. Note however that there's a maximum of $100,000 per GIC. If you're a high roller(*) you'll need to buy more than one GIC.

I do have $100k+. That allows me devote all the time I want on RFD helping others--instead of wasting time jealously criticizing those who do have $100k (or working at some menial, minimum-wage job like some of those who don't) ;)

so its 100K CDIC coverage per GIC not per account holder? 3.33% is the highest rate for GICs other than Meridan's 3.25 1 year correct?

No, it's $100k per account holder, as always for CDIC. No idea why EQB has a $100k limit per GIC, but it's not because of CDIC.

Anyone able to set up Simplii push to EQ? My transaction was reversed - EQ told me sender name didn't match, Simplii said the correct legal name was on file. Investigation pending and they told me to call back Friday.
