Hi everyone,

Just moved into a brand new house and upgraded with the builder to get a VanEE ERV. I had heard from others that they work awesome for ventilation while saving energy costs. I also heard from friends who have it that you will get virtually no steam buildup in the bathroom when showering. However, I find that even with the VanEE running while I shower, excessive steam still occurs...the glass fogs up and the walls start sweating to the point where water drops run down them.

Is this normal? I notice the windows in the house have no condensation at all, so I assume that is due to the ERV as I was told most new home builds are so tight that window condensation is an issue. But then again, I checked my humidifier last night on the furnace and the filter was literally bone-dry inside of it...maybe that is not working as well.

Does anybody have any advice or suggestions?
