Estimated Tax Return?
I live in Newfoundland, and am a full time student. In 2008 I completed 2 full-time workterms and a full term of school. I grossed around $22,000
Just wondering what I should/could claim and if anyone has any rough idea of what I could get back or pay in.
My tuition was around $4,000, I'm claiming $500 for books and $300 (that's the max isn't it?) for public transport. Not sure what else I could claim...
Any help?

Best thing to do is to get a copy of some tax software and calculate it for yourself.
Windows, FREE:
http://www.studiotax.com
Online, FREE for students:

Without looking at the difference between Newfoundland and Ontario taxes.....I would guesstimate you will pay about $2000.00 in taxes, so whatever you already paid + or - a return of $ 1000.00.

As long as you only want to fill in all the lines/numbers, play with them and see your calculated return - you can do it all for free. This very useful website helps to double-check the results obtained in free StudioTax.
