got link? do they accept paypal?
AliExpress never accepts Paypal. CC only and it'll take a good 1-3 months before it arrives unless you pay a premium for shipping.

I'm in the states and they have this ePacket thing which supposedly only takes 12-20 days to arrive. I've purchased a bunch of raspberry pi related electronics from them in the past, everything's arrived for me.

How much are they on Ali Express? I saw them on Amazon.ca for $39.99 with free Prime shipping.

Also Newegg has them:

Those aren't powered risers, and you'd be hardpressed to find motherboards that have multiple 16x slots. The powered risers work by only using the 1x slot

The powered ones using USB3 cables are the way to go. I've got them connected to x1 slots, x4 slots and x16 slots and they work flawlessly. Supposedly the unpowered ones are less safe as well since power is delivered over those thin ribbon cables instead of a molex connector.

I got mine over ebay shipped from the US. Getting them from China/HK is probably way too slow at this point in the game. (link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/232356154622)

Not sure. I don't think it's their primary business. That was just an example. There should be plenty of other sellers. Took about a week to get it BTW.

Is anyone using an open frame type of casing? I'm not that handy to be able to DIY so pointers on where to buy would be great.

Or go case less, and put extra GPU's on your desk ( winter space heater in the garage, can product between 300 to 700 watts depending on the heating needs )

Thanks for the pic...I googled and found the Lian Li case. Newegg.ca has it on sale for $95. I'm going to give this a try.

Hey what do you guys think of this case?

http://www.techspot.com/review/1169-cors...pec-alpha/

It is $84.99cad AMIR at NCIX with free shipping. I just ordered one, it looks nice. It should hopefully keep my sli setup cooler.
Will a larger case allow you to move the cards farther apart? If not, I think your money might be better invested in a different motherboard... Although I guess that would require a new case regardless.
