Ethereum difficulty just spiked up to 2 million. That's more than a three-fold increase since I started mining less than three months ago. Yikes.

Still one of the most profitable to mine. Might as well keep mining as much as possible before you can't anymore in November (rumor)

For anyone using Nvidia cards if you plan on updating drivers the p0 state reverts back to "on" make sure to set it back to "off"

Yep, I'm at 0.85 ETH now - gonna try and hold on till I hit 1.0 at least.

Whats everyone mining nowadays?
Still mining ETH which gets me about $300 a month (for now). Not enough money difference for me to keep fiddling with it so I just let it run.

Thanks for the reminder. It also looks like it requires a restart for that setting to kick in, so make sure you guys reboot after setting the p0 state to "off" in nVidia Profile Inspector.

Speaking of restarting... Does anyone have a script that restarts the rig every few hours or so? I find that every 6 or so hours my main card drops a few hash a second until I restart it. I figure with a 15 second boot time it wouldn't hurt performance at all.

That suggests the main card is set to a core/mem settings that aren't quite fully stable. You shouldn't see any significant deviation over even long periods of mining.

Only happened while mining with claymore. Switched to nicehash and I am getting WAAAY better performance and stability.

Anyone have any updates? Any new tips, tricks, tweaks, software?

Anyone use 6-pin risers?

Where can I get some 6-pin to 6-pin cables that can wire directly from the PSU to the riser? Seems like the only options I can find is molex/SATA to 6 pin adapters or using an 8-pin to 6+2 pin cable.

Ether -> to the moon!

Looks like we're headed back to the peak.

The best news for me is that I just "found" $25 worth of BTC and BCH in an old account on Kraken. I used to mine BTC, and had .005 left over on Cavirtex after I cashed out for peanuts a couple years ago. Well it merged with Kraken and my BTC (+new BCH!) were still there. I sold them and bought ETH, and it's already worth $30. I've got 0.98 ETH altogether now... about to mint my first full ETH at a good time.

RIP difficulty and GPU market for gamers... $500 CAD ETH is going to keep bringing miners online.
