Ever hear of the electronics brand "Finer Things"??

So apparently all 3 of my tickets in the Sick Kids Lottery have won me 3 sets of "Finer Things Indoor Outdoor Wireless Speakers" that apparently retail for $147.

Google shows me Sweet FA..... Anyone??

A wild guess, but I think they are shaped like rocks - hence the 'out-door' name.
Don't take my word on it...

There are a lot of re-badged electronics out there.
Since you won them from a legit charity, you could ask them who donated it or where they got it from. Also there should be some info on the boxes.
As long as they have a CSA or UL stamp on it, it should be good to go.

If the speakers are not powered (110v ac or battery) there is absolutely no need to worry about CSA or UL.

BTW those Boston Accoustics speakers (pictured in this thread) are worth repairing - they are a victim of foam rot where the foam surround rotted away - they actually have better tweeters (dome) than the tweeters you will find in new Bose drek - all you have to do is pick up a pair of woofers and swap em out.

You're right on that. For unpowered speakers, there's no sticker at all.
