they most likely will ask you on pivot table, which is one of the most useful and under used feature of excel

So, are you going to an interview that there will be a test. Or is it an interview for a job that will be using excel.

In general I have not seen a single resume that does not claim to have excel experience. But having worked with the program extensively, I can tell you that it is very powerful and most people have no idea of what Excel can do.

The interview will want to sniff out if you are one of the kids that only use excel to make charts, and graphs or somebody that actually used to computing power of excel.

Things you may want to talk about are some functions like vlookup, filters, pivot tables, and if possible VBA scripts and Macros. As well as things you have done with excel, such as iterative calculations for a finance project, or data mining using multiple tables.

The excel test forms part of the interview. I am not used to computing power of excel because I haven't had a job which will give me such experience. Anyways, I just wanted something like an excel test bank where I can practise some questions.

While another time I was asked to look at a sales trend, forecast the last quarter, break down the data into a series of graphs, and pie charts. As well figure out what driving the profits down, so margin trends. There was 2 portfolios of products, one high margin and another low margin.

Your best bet is to look over videos on youtube. ExcelIsFun is a good place to start, lots of on accounting/finance excel tricks.
