Any recommended ones in Ottawa?
They must be certified installers. Go to the Green on website. Bear in mind, all the certified window installers are swamped, and the grant program may be cancelled after the election, or the allocated funds may run out.

We are getting ours done by Verdun. Revocell series 1000 is what we went with.

Interested in this one too. Are the windows under this program more costly than without these?

And yes, I know the program is cancelled as of today but seems to have a short time window that we can take advantage of if it’s worth jt

Doug Ford just killed the rebate. Check the rebate website for conditions.

if you are already in, check the deadline of work complete and submission date.

"If you’re already signed up for a rebate, it will be honoured if:

You have a signed work agreement with a participating contractor for work that will be completed by August 31, 2018

Your rebate application is submitted by September 30, 2018"

What does "If you've already signed up for a rebate..." mean?

My situation: In May 2018, I signed a contract and paid a deposit for windows to be changed. He told me it should be ready for installation in August 2018.

So let's say they come and installs it in August 2018, and they or I submit the application for rebate.

Am I safe (will get the rebate)? Again, am I "already signed up" ??

Unless you have a time machine, you're definitely out of time to get in on this deal if you're just starting now.

The job has to complete on or before August 31, 2018.

It is your contractor who do the submission. And he has to submit on or before September 30, 2018.

Call your contractor. Now everyone is rushing the deadline.

Thanks. Yup I spoke with him and he fully realized
He has lots of people in the same boat. He will do his best to do all the GreenON eligible windows first. But he's waiting for the windows to be manufactured, so it's out of his hands right now.

Does this mean, if we sign a contract today and back date it to Jun 10,2018

Then performer the work in July

Then rebate still eligible?

The point is not when you signed the contract. You can sign a contract next week but has to complete and submit on time. Bear in mind all windows are custom made and take a few weeks to manufacture, particularly on peak season plus the change in GreenOn program.
