Hey,

Hope this is the right place for this. My organization is putting on a discussion panel about sports reporting tomorrow, and just wanted to get the word out, if anyone's interested...

*_Face-off: Are We Getting What We Deserve From Sports Reporters?_*
Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
*cjffaceoff.eventbrite.ca* (http://cjffaceoff.eventbrite.ca)

Where does the truth lie when pro players and reporters work for the same big company? When players and teams can communicate directly with fans on Twitter, what’s left for sports journalists? When sports reporting requires a detailed knowledge of economics, is the story still about the game?

Join *Steve Maich*, publisher and editor-in-chief of Sportsnet magazine, *Carly Agro*, host and reporter for CBC Sports, *Bruce Kidd*, champion runner, sports expert and University of Toronto professor, and moderator *Bruce Dowbiggin*, sports journalist and broadcaster, for a discussion on the challenges facing sports journalism.

Please join us for cocktails and conversation at 8:00 pm.

For tickets and additional information, please visit: *cjffaceoff.eventbrite.ca* (http://cjffaceoff.eventbrite.ca)

Tall narrow fridge/freezer?

I have an alcove in my kitchen which would be perfect for a fridge/freezer. However, it is narrow at 28" (while I can make it slightly wider, I cannot make it 30" wide without demolition which I am hoping to avoid). While I have found a few (very few) fridge/freezers that will fit, they are all freezer on top style and lower end models. I know that fridge/freezers sold in the European market tend to be wider and taller in general but I can't seem to find any models like that here except this (http://www.lg.com/ca_en/refrigerators/lg-GR-389R-bottom-freezer-refrigerator)LG model.

Has anyone any ideas where I might find other options?

Its Official - PS4 is more powerful, 50% more RAW powerful GPU compared to Xbox ONE

All the details can be found here:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-spec-analysis-xbox-one

In terms of the GPU hardware, hard information was difficult to come by, but one of the engineers did let slip with a significant stat - 768 operations per clock. We know that both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are based on Radeon GCN architecture and we also know that each compute unit is capable of 64 operations per clock. So, again through a process of extrapolation from the drip-feed of hard facts, the make-up of the One's GPU is confirmed - 12 compute units each capable of 64 ops/clock gives us the 768 total revealed by Microsoft and thus, by extension, the 1.2 teraflop graphics core. So that's another tick on the Durango leaked spec that has been transposed across to the final* Xbox One architecture and the proof we need that PlayStation 4's 18 CU graphics core has 50 per cent more raw power than the GPU in the new Microsoft console*

Microsoft never had the luxury of this moving target. With multimedia such a core focus for its hardware, it set out to support 8GB of RAM from day one (at the time giving it a huge advantage over the early PS4 target RAM spec) and with serious volume of next-gen DDR4 unattainable in the time window, it zeroed in on supporting DDR3 and doing whatever was necessary to make that work on a console. The result is a complex architecture - 32MB of ESRAM is added to the processor die, along with "data move engines" to courier information around the system as quickly as possible with bespoke encode/decode hardware to alleviate common bottlenecks. Bottom line: if you're wondering why Xbox One has a weaker GPU than PlayStation 4, it's because both platform holders have similar silicon budgets for the main processor - *Sony has used the die-space for additional compute units and ROPs (32 vs. 16 in One)
*

More than that, the system appears to have been designed with a very specific US focus, where cable TV boxes are the norm. What about TVs with built-in decoders, either terrestrial and satellite in nature? Not everyone wants subscription TV, so not everyone has a set-top box - but they're still enjoying a large range of digital channels and a decent amount of HD programming. Perhaps more pertinently, Microsoft appears to have invested a massive amount in accommodating live TV when the overall trend is moving towards time-shifted viewing and streaming media - something it almost completely ignored in its presentation. It's a very curious decision and a massive gamble.

Mutual Fund Stop/Loss

Hi all,

Somewhat of a newbie investor, who is only investing in mutual funds right now. I understand the concept behind stop/loss orders on stocks and realize that this can't be done with mutual funds. However, is it wise to implement a similar strategy? For example when the mutual fund has gained 10-15% on my initial investment then sell, or when it has lost 8-10% sell.

The reason I ask is because I currently have RBF556 (CDN Index) and have owned this since 2011. I have purchased more here and there but in total, I think this investment over the past couple of years has gained 1%. Obviously it got hit hard like many others during that period. Had I sold it when it had decreased substantially and moved it into something safer, I feel like I could have had better gains. On the flip side of things, many of my international funds are doing fantastic. If I see a stock I invest in gain 30%, it normally means sell to me. Not sure how to handle mutual funds :).

Anyway just wondering if anyone has tried implementing something similar to this before.

Thanks!

Where should I go to buy toner for my HP printer?

There are way to many different stores to buy toner from?
My question is should I go to stores like Best buy, or Staples. They are really expensive.

I have seen a couple of other places like Absolute Toner, 123inkcartridges, and toneronline.
Should I be shopping at these places?
The price is really really low. Before I buy has people bought cartridges from these guys? Are they any good?

Can you please let me know?
For the cheap places which would you go to?
