Buying a recliner -The Brick?

Hi guys,
I am looking at purchasing a recliner from The Brick. I found something I am interested in.
Any idea what I can expect in terms of bargaining with these guys?

The recliner I am looking at is around $400 (nothing fancy or overtly expensive), with delivery ($70) and tax i am looking at around $550. Is it unreasonable to expect a $500 (including tax and delivery) all in sort of deal? Or would it be more realistic with a cash deal? Or is this far too low to expect?

If it was open box (say 80% new), do you think $400 all in would be unreasonable?

I am just trying to see what I can realistically expect and should try to hold out for.

I live in Winnipeg so my options are limited to The Brick, Leon's (not many options), United Furniture Warehouse, a couple of local shops then the more expensive Sears Home, LAzyBoy, Dufrense, Ashley Furniture.

Thanks in advance.

I rarely fly to terminal one so I'm not sure if this is normal...

I arrived at about 7:30 pm on Tuesday night. Got through customs in no time and proceeded to baggage pickup where I found a disaster. There must have been 3,000 people in line to exit the area and 2 CBSA agents collecting the Customs Declaration form. It took more than an hour to get from baggage pickup to the street!

Is this normal operationg procedure for Terminal 1? It seems amateur hour to have 3,000 people funnel through 2 agents!

Reliable Small Appliance Repair in Toronto - kitchenaid stand mixer?

Hi,
I am looking for a reliable repair shop to bring my KitchenAid Professional 600 Stand Mixer. The knob has started to clunk at every spin and shake. At a higher speed it wobbles like crazy. I am guessing it has something to do with the gear box and housing (tiny crack on housing).

It was my parents initially purchased within the last year or so. Somehow the serial number sticker is missing and kitchenaid has horrible customer service and was unable to help me with anything because they cannot identify when it was purchased. They also told me they cant even tell me which parts it uses. Complete rubbish because every part website has the same parts that go with my mixer.

I would never spend another $500 on a kitchenaid product ever again. They are very unprofessional and not very helpful. If i cant get this repaired, this $500 appliance is scrap and they cant so anything about it. What company does that?

Can anyone recommend a reliable place to repair this? I want to keep my costs and parts under $100 since a new one can be bought on sale for $199-$299.

2 x 7443 120 SMD LED Switch Back Dual Amber White LED

Looking to sell these 2 week old bulbs.

I decided to get actual fog lights instead for my Scion FRS so I don't need these switchbacks anymore.

I bought these from Concept 3 led for $45 + $7 shipping. I'm not looking to make a profit, just want to recover some costs are these are no longer useful to me.

Also a led load resistor is needed for these bulbs to prevent hyperflashing, you can buy these from ebay for ~$10. (note: if you have a lexus toyota subaru scion you can buy a flasher that will prevent hyperflashing)

Local pickup Scarborough / Markham / Richmondhill

I spent my summers working menial blue-collar jobs. Cleaning, back of the house restaurant positions, etc.

How are white-collar companies gonna take me seriously?

I don't even have any skills or accomplishments from those jobs that I could list on my resume. What would I put? I mopped the floor in record time? I cooked some fries and didn't screw it up? The only things I could think of are the generic "showed up/wasn't late/did what was instructed" that every job requires.

Without connections, how do you make yourself and your resume stand out in a situation like this?
