Fabric
Hi, I remember watching Trading Spaces way back, before they changed the whole premise of the show.
They used this fabric once, I think it was a classical French fabric. It was white on black, the black part being these little pictures of farmers or people sitting underneath a tree. I've seen it in blue, the name has totally escaped me...it may not even be French.
Hope someone may help me
Thanks guys

Thanks guys, you are right. So what's it used for? Curtains, quilt, wall-paper? Any comments or anything about it. Thinking about putting it as curtains in a teenage boys room.

It's used anywhere people want that pattern be it walls or fabric applications. Personally, I can't imagine using it in a teenage boy's room unless the boy really asked to have it. It usually has a feminine feel to it. Is this one of those things where teen wants black and parents can't see it? If so, black is a very stunning colour to do a room in if it's done right. It can look classic or contemporary.

I can't imagine it in a teen boy's room either, and I have 2 teen boys. Mine would be absolutely horrified if I put something like that in their rooms, LOL!It's generally used when decorating in the French Country style or Shabby Chic. For a teen boy I would be far more inclined to use a Matress Ticking type of stripe fabric or one of the many other options. I agree with Dustbunny as well, if this is one of those where he wants a black room, it can be done and look quite "cool" and stunning at the same time.
