family doc/OBGYN close to home or work?
Hello. I'm 2 weeks pregnant with my first child. I live in Thornhill (Bayview/John) but work downtown. I commute by taking the TTC and York Region transit. My hubby and I have one car between the 2 of us but he needs it as he's often required to travel the city during the day.
My question is, is it better to choose an obgyn close to home in Thornhill or downtown near my workplace? Does this impact what hospital I give birth at? How often are the appointments? Or do I continue seeing my family doc for checkups until I'm at a certain point in my pregnancy? I'm under 35 years of age. Really don't know how any of this works. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
