Fantastic Four - comedy? Alba as Sue Storm!

OK, everyone knows that FF will be filming soon in Vancouver, but did you know they're going to make it more comedic (vs. serious-like)??

"It's funny, high adventure," he said, confirming rumours that that the Tim Story-directed movie will be primarily a comedy. "But you are going to tear up too. It's a bittersweet comedy."

That's crazy... I mean I saw the 1994 Roger Corman version, and that was laughable itself!

And Alba as Sue Storm?? Didn't Sue have blond hair and wasn't she like caucasian?? I don't see Alba as a Sue Storm. And what kind of role would you take if you'll be invisible half of the time?? LOL

She's not a match for the comic book though. Sue is an Aryan girl (blonde, blue-eyed, etc) and Alba's skin is a bit dark (makes her look more like Storm of the X-Men).

I'm sure she'll like Mr. "Fantastic", they can turn this into a sick Japanese hentail cartoon in a hurry

If they are really making F4 a comedy, what a waste, it's already been done. Back in 94 they had a F4 movie that was goign to released but marvel did everythign to stop it cause, well it sucked (you can find copies of it online pretty easily). Note the movie was meant to be serious but in the end was a plain old joke.


Now to the new F4 movie:
The casting sucks. They were thinking of julia stiles as sue storm too. She is bad too but alba is just worse. Sorry but they should at least make the F4 at least LOOK similar to their comic counterparts. Sue storm has blue eyes and blond hair and is whiter than snow. While jessica alba is nice to look at, BAD CHOICE.

Who is that? she looks nice I think a good sue storm (married and with son franklin) would be Amanda Tapping from Stargate SG-1. But i'm guessing they want this to be a 'young' and 'hip' F4. Oh well

If that is what Alba will look like for the movie, I think all you nay-sayers will be happy. She looks smokin hot in that picture... that kind of turns the heat up for this movie. I sure hope they try to make it a real movie and not just another superhero slam....The fantastic four deserve a movie of Spiderman or X-men quality.
