Over $120 pre-market

I wonder where it will end up today?

Did anybody catch the earnings call? Interesting insight from Zuckerberg on the role of the various apps in the FB 'family' of apps.

Iistened to parts of it. FB has been my largest holding for the last year or so and there's not really anything that can be said to dissuade my love for FB. We are going to $150 as I recall saying 6 months ago.

My only regret is selling some of my position too long ago. And not buying more... minor details :p

Yup. It's my biggest holding now too. It was initially only 10% of my portfolio...

Consensus PT on Wall Street seems to be $135. Although JP has a PT of $150+. So we'll see I guess

Yeh I think FB is nearly 20% of my portfolio. I wanted to add last week but didn't because according to the rules of investing I already own far too much FB. So I bought SBUX and MSFT, even though what I was really confident on was FB.

Stock price going to fall...

Facebook is changing the focus in feeds — what are the implications?
Facebook is changing the focus in news feeds, putting the priority on family and friends instead of organizations. Why were these changes made and what do they mean for users, news organizations, advertisers and Facebook’s shareholders.

I just bought about $5K a few days ago at $188.

Is this a good time to buy more or should i was just a little bit more for a drop to say $175 or even $170.

Will look for an entry point next week.

Will be interesting to see with the government shutdown and all.

Would it be a good buy if FB opens 24% down tomorrow?

I was looking at the aftermarkets chart and saw something interesting... Typically a stock that rallies the next day will see a large drop initially in the aftermarket and then slowly move upwards as the conference call starts and more light is shed on the earnings report - ie the conference call explains what the numbers meant and how things may have been an overreaction. With FB, we saw a slight drop initially after hours (ie a few percent) and then it fell off the cliff and stayed there which meant that the conference call included some bad news that wasn't reflected in the earnings report (or at least the traders in the afterhours viewed the information very dimly).

Now, granted that FB has done this sort of thing before but the drop has not been as bad - Facebook has a history of earnings calls that hurt the stock

If Amazon were to correct by that much, I think many of us would start dipping our toes. :)

Interesting how trading on FB will play out tomorrow.

This is at least a day trading opportunity tomorrow maybe a chance to hold long term and recover from all those pot losses...

Cheers,

simple answer is yes, with a buy at the open with a set 10% & out exit price

will you be buying?

or what about at the open selling the Aug 10 expiry $150 put?
