I dont think so, the normal $25 plan + $12 value pack will much better than $41 but $2 less

This is a great plan if you want to simply keep your costs low. I don't really care so much for caller ID and VM but you need caller ID and VM is nice to have. I had the old plan that was unlimited incoming and caller ID for 25 bux. Everyone is saying they want unlimited incoming, but if you have a job, its not that big of a deal. 5pm evenings and weekends is probably more important since you'll have a phone at work.
I had the 10 dollars off a month for 4 years along with this plan so it was a great deal. I finally switched to a data plan and the nexus though. No regrets in any case.

So this Canada wide calling add-on for $10 only means you can talk anywhere in Canada within the included minutes FIDO gives you? So you're basically turning the 150 minutes FIDO gives you into CANADA WIDE for $10?
Or for the $10 I can call anywhere in Canada unlimited minutes?

The current minutes are already Canada-Wide, the $10 add-on will allow unlimited Canada-Wide calling. You will be able to call anywhere in Canada with unlimited minutes.

Does "Canada Wide Calling" include roaming? Or is it just outgoing long-distance calls from your local area.

You guys, the unlimited canada wide is misleading. Air time applys at all time, meaning it counts in your 150 minutes... not so call "unlimited". Calls must be made within canada of course. If you gone over your mins, air time charges are extra in addition to long distances charges, but that shouldn't happen cuz you got true unlimited 5pm-7am evenings and friday 5pm-monday7am weekends
I am have been using the $25+$12 value pack plan, so I know more.

I'm no expert on phone plans but shopping around for my son in the last couple days and just starting to realize we are getting hosed by Bell on our contract BB phone. Anyway, Virgin yesterday dropped the price of their $30 plan to $25 (possibly to match this deal) and this plan seems to be pretty much the same. 5pm start, 150 minutes etc, unlimited text. My understanding is the plan is Canada wide which essentially means unlimited long distance evenings and weekends. Got this plan (no contract) with an Galaxy SII yesterday for $99 - $100 GC and $150 tab + free screen protector or case. OK for me as don't want data for this phone right now.

just switched over to this plan from the old $25 plan for my aunt.. just note, if you're currently on a 'bill by the second' plan, switching will change it to 'bill by the minute'. also, the old overage $0.30/min is now $0.45/min if you switch over.
AND canada wide means that you won't get charged long distance fees but airtime charges still apply if you go over the 150 minutes. the $10 add-on doesn't change anything.
