[Fido] Fido - 50% off Standard Talk and Text Plan for 6 months on 2-year Fido Agreement

Hi guys, this is my first thread, and I noticed that Fido has a new promo going on with a 2 year contract. I don't know if there's any restrictions, but here's the link:

http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/Fido ... ans/Group1

Essentially what the thread title says.

Nice find, wonder if it's stackable with first month free and also what "in market" plans mean, I guess not retention plans but I have two lines on the 25 dollar promo plan two months back (switched to it while in contract and now it's due for renewal), and it doesn't say new activations only does it? Interesting

My Friends got the email [ THey are on Chatr] that if they want to shift to Fido, it wil be 50% off on the 60$ plan...
If you signup and do not take phone, you can leave the contract after 6 months with out any charges. right ?

I got the email enticing me to switch my Chatr line...

If they don't force you to take a phone, then the penalty for leaving after 6 months should be only $12.50. If they still have Canada-wide plans, then I might consider.

They do, the $30 one comes 200mins with canada wide and call ID/voicemail.
Fisrt month free+ 50% for the following 5 months=$75 for the first 6 months
$12.5 to cancel...so about $15/month for half a year then switch back to Chatr, sounds like a good deal
now i am not sure if they could keep your exsisting #

I think they might have even better plans after 6 months. I am so tempted to move to Fido. BTW, is there any difference in network between fido and rogers ?
I know they use the same network but still any difference in resource management ?

Do you think the promo plan included?
If it is I'm going to switch today. I'm paying more than 37$ to robbers.
Fine print from fido "Available only on in-market Standard plans with a 2-year Fido Agreement"

Edit: I think the standard plans mean text & talk plans. So should be included in the promo

not bad, especially for Canada wide long distance. However if you call international long distance you would need something else, like mapletelecom.com or so
