I called a week ago and simply told them I was considering to port to Koodo as they were offering such a better plan, but seeing that I was only with Fido for 2 months I'd rather just stay if they could offer me something similar. Within 5min they offered me the 300min/5pm/unlimited incoming/6gb/etc. + CID for 61$. Not sure if VM was included... but anyhow, it's not hard to obtain this plan at all if you're not on an agreement. They were very pleasant to deal with (then again I wasn't asking for that much...).

Please explain further. Do you know this for a fact from asking a CSR, or are you just guessing? All other Fido plans include Call Waiting and Conference Call.
*Included Services Call Waiting and Conference Call
Additionally, Call Waiting and Conference Call are not listed as available add-ons, so if they're not included in the plan, how would you go about having them added?

Tried 611 today twice, each time i was told there was no such plan, and that it had expired. Is this deal dead?

300 min (per minute billing), U/L E/W (5 PM to 7 AM), U/L Incoming, CID, VVM, 2500 text (includes international text), F2F and F2R (anywhere in Canada), 6 GB Data.
This is for 1 year only though. No Contract.

Hi, I called in few times and retention offers me following plans:
- 1st Offer
$60 + $7 (VP $11)
300 Daytime (local)
Evenings/Weekends starting at 5pm
Unlimited incoming calls
Unlimited international SMS
6GB data included
CID+ VM (30 VM) + 2,500 Call Forwarding minutes included
- 2nd Offer
$60 + $6 (Mini VP)
300 Daytime (local)
Evenings/Weekends starting at 5pm
Unlimited incoming calls
Unlimited international SMS
6GB data included
CID + VM (3 VM for 10 Days) ( ID # only and basic VM)
Extended 1 Year agreement
$50 credit to buyout the plan when upgraded to IPhone 5
Now only I realized the cid + vm is mini VP which only showing Caller Phone Number but not the Name. I was so mad as they refused to add in the $7 (VP) to my 2nd offer as it has been expired. Should I just take it or keep calling for better offer?

I don't know if you can port from a fido to another fido acct.
But i know you can port from a different provider to fido and take over that contract.
- That's what I did 2 years ago when I switch from Telus.
- When you talk to the CSR and taking over the contract just say you have a number to port in. They will do all the work for you(porting your old number to the new acct and close the old acct).
good luck

I just called for a friend who signed up with Fido a month and a half ago and got this deal.
Would this also work if I signed up for a regular plan and upgraded the next day (as an existing customer)?

For everyone who got the $60 plan plus regular voicemail, did you get any credits?

Ive been rocking this plan since Iphone 4 Came out and for under $60 after taxes im more than satisfied.
Although it doesn't show it (like the other plans listed do) 6GB plans have tethering built in. I have it tethered to my Playbook nearly 24/7

I'm still on the following:
200 minutes (per second billing)
Unlimited evening and week-end (starting at 7PM)
Unlimited Fido to Fido local calls
Enhanced Voice Messaging
2500 text messages from Canada to Canadian wireless numbers
6GB of data
Caller ID
Was seeing a bill of $62.15 after taxes per month but my credits expired so now I'm at $73 in change. Their new $60 is kind of joke since the only bonus I'm getting is International txt messaging and 100 more minutes billed by the minute. Oh wait but I have to pay for CID and VM again so there's almost no difference in trying to get a competitive plan. Got a few more months left to go then I think it'll be time to shop for a new carrier.

To be honest I am not impressed. We were given the impression that the max plans were going to be 3gb and 6gb respectively and that the "smart" plans would be lower and include V/M and Call Display. Now these are the intial roll-outs, I would expect a big phone sale soon too to go along with these "NEW" plans (most phones (Android and Blackberry) should be 0 on contract soon.
The new plans are now available on the Fido website....Seems like they are totally out of line with other carriers.

I called to try and match the Koodo plan and got similar deals to above. They wanted to lock me in for 3 years though which I was not too keen on. The one different thing they mentioned though is there is no longer cancellation fees. Not sure if that's a new thing or not. He said the only thing you're on the hook for now is the full price of the phone. So it sounds like they do things like the other carriers now and have a "tab".

I have this one currently. Can I get something cheaper?
I use literally 10 minutes a month, at most (since I use dell voice to make calls) and almost a GB of data per month.
