[Fido] [AB] 4GB + unlimited text / calling for $45

Looks like it's new activation only and maybe AB only.

The Rogers network (including Zoomer & Fido) is also terrible if you're in the Fort McMurray region.

Might want to add Alberta only in the title :)

Their LTE speed is also slower than Bell/Telus in Vancouver, especially compared to Bell.

BC interior is pretty bad on Rogers too, lots of dead spots even on the highways.

Nationally, Rogers' LTE network is about half the speed of Telus or Bell (on average): https://www.pcmag.com/article/348825/fa ... anada-2017

Agreed. I was stuck in an elevator with 2 other people. They were on Bell and were happily surfing and making calls. I'm on Rogers and couldn't get a signal.

I am looking to move from Chatr as their coverage around my area is pretty bad. I have a 2GB 45 dollar plan after tax. Which brand do you suggest I take up? I was inclined to take Fido.

It's the same network. Look into bell/Telus network off brands like virgin, Koodo, or public mobile.

Yeah, Fido is only screwing over increasing the cost in BC & Alberta, as per the Mobile Syrup link above:
“There is an increase to one of our BYOP plans that was offered as a promotion last year to customers in B.C. and Alberta and does not impact all BYOP customers. "

Fido’s is unlimited Canada wide vs the other two being province wide for the same price. Ive had a Fido line for my daughter for about a year now and it works perfectly fine in Edmonton
Koodo, Fido, Telus, Public Mobile, Virgin, Bell customer.

Just an FYI, FIdo's international roaming charges are one of the worst.
