[Fido] Fido home Internet- 75mbps/ unlimited $32.50+tax- loyal customer (ON)

Hi Guys,

Newbie post (don't butcher me). I thought this was good deal for loyal fido customers. Not sure if it's only for ON.
For some reason the Fido internet page can't be found but you can always ask through online chat.

I got 75mbps download and 10mbps upload for $32.50+tax (reg $65+tax). I know the Shaw & rogers deals are hot but i wasn't eligible for it.

Here are the details:
There are no activation fees and the modem rental is only $8/month, included in the plan’s cost but listed separately on the bill. If a technician installs the modem for you, a $49.99 + tax fee applies, otherwise it’s free. You’ll be paying $32.50 + tax per month for the first 12 months, afterwards it will be $65+tax. Note that your 1st bill will approximately be $36.73 tax included. That's the amount owed for the service from today until your billing cycle date ($roughly $5.30) along with the fees for the next billing cycle, but it’ll be adjusted according to the modem’s shipping delays/when the modem is picked up in store/when the modem is installed by the tech.

If you ask kindly enough, you can get installation waived

They couldn't assist me via Livechat. The deal for non Fido customers is the 75 mbps package was one year at $45 (reg 65 minus 20 dollar credit) plus a credit of $100.

My 1 year on this same plan 50% off is coming to an end in 2 months. I will give them a call in 2 weeks and hopefully I can get it extended for another year.

Has been going on for a bit. I called in late December and got it for my daughter. Had called Rogers and got the story that there is no service available at that location but Fido was great.
Out in a few days, installation seamless and works well especially for $32.50/month unlimited. This is a small town in SW Ontario so not a lot of real options.

Placed a cancelation with Rogers to get this deal.
But they offered me same plan for $29.99 for 12 months ($69.99 after)

What type of home internet service is this? DSL, Cable or LTE Cellular?

Fido site and OPs post don't say.

There shouldn't be any modem rental at all, I got this deal last time it poped up on RFD, now paying 36 all in a month for the same package, also don't need to pay for installation at all since you just plug the modem into cable.

I'm paying $34.99+taxes for Rogers Gigabit ... 1000Mbps down and 30Mbps up .... Way better than a measly 75Mbps down.

So this deal is not "HOT" at all.

Your Rogers gigabit deal isn't available for new clients so it's not a HOT deal at all.

Try and they will. No harm in lying to them that you have Bell expiring.

They all fudge numbers to satisfy their targets and lie to their shareholders every quarter.

Someone will be able to do the deal ... Regardless.

My Virgin mobile 30/mo ends in April. If they won't extend the price, I'll call and switch to Fido (already Fido customer)
