Thanks yopman, I was about to not even call.
Your post prompted me to give it a shot, the rep told me that it was now $45/150u. Upon gentle insistence that a buddy managed to get it at $37.50 earlier today, he finally offered me the rate but would not offer the $50 BB GC. However after haggling a little bit, he finally relented and included it as part of the deal!

Do we get an email indicating when we can pick up the modem from the store? My online account states I have a pending request, is that my indication?

However, when I run the dslreport puma test it was not as good http://www.dslreports.com/tools/puma6 lots of yellow and message saying it didn't look so good
FWIW, I've got the white one (CODA-4582) and my results are crap too. It also goes dead every week or so and needs a manual restart.

Which modem is the one to get? Reading the last couple of pages, it seems like the modems (white coda, grey and black) are performing inconsistently.

Picking mines up today but will try to get the white one

With Rogers the black modem would cut out for me on the 5G band. When I switched to the CODA (white) modem I had no issues. Not sure if I would see those issues now as I just use it in bridge mode.

I called around all of the fido Ottawa stores and none of them had the coda anymore and one associate told me Rogers has them and terminated these being used by fido .

Anybody successful on using their own modem with Fido?
I own a TC7650 which I purchased to avoid the puma6 issue. I was using it before

FYI For anyone wondering about the bestbuy GC and Sportsnet Now.

Just got this from LIVE CHAT from Fido.

FIDO REP:
Yes, after your services are installed, you should receive an email within 7-10 business days directing you to register for your Best Buy gift card. After the registration, you'll receive your digital gift card by email within 5 days.

When you receive the digital gift card by email, you'll also receive a QR code you can use in-store to get 10% off a Toshiba Fire TV and up to $200 off MacBook laptops. These discounts must be used before September 30, 2019. You’ll also receive a promo code and instructions for a 6-month Sportsnet NOW subscription.

So, I am not sure if the email sent to us has the same link (as posted on here, azure... something something,) but i'd rather not risk it, so I will wait for that email.

Not too impressed with 150u so far. Coming from Rogers 75u, would consistently get 95 Mbps on speedtest. This is getting between 105-145 Mbps. Both using the black modem. Maybe I'll wait a couple of weeks until the deal rush dies down and then ask them to swap the modem.

Hopefully it is the modem, I've always received faster speeds from them. I'm on the 75u and I get just over 110Mbps down in speed tests and that does translate to any steam game downloads.

For those who signed up for 150, is your first bill $83.34?

edit,
just read the fine print and it stated: "The first and last months will be prorated on your bill"
