I can see the price difference on xl plan is 130. I got the iPhone x 64GB yesterday, wondering if I should call in to exchange
Try and see what happens. Sometimes it's best to say as little as possible, otherwise the rep may dig deeper into the notes on your account hence your credits may be affected.

Renew my contract tonight in store, I got iPhone xs 64gb for $779 with my current $55 1gb data plan, not great but it’s alright, I don’t want too much hassle to get winback plan. I love my plan’s 1000 minute free international call, it’s pretty useful for me which I don’t want lose. Mine is medium plan , I got BackPocket offer $200 off from store , and got $50 off from otter box case which I just pay $5. Finally. I watch this post several months, I hope when my contract is over this month ,I can get winback offer.

So should I call them again if they haven't called me back after I left a voicemail? I was with Fido about a year ago

Lol actually they called me back but they said that they can only offer $300 credit and 20% off the plan.

Still would have to pay quite a bit upfront on the newer iPhones and plans are still $60+

Not very appealing at the moment to be honest.

Ported to PM on Saturday, got a call today. Fido offered $40 / 5GB + free S8. According to the rep, the price doesn't change after 2 years. I didn't push or try other deals, thats the deal that got thrown at me off the bat. EDIT: Fido win back is probably great for those who need a phone. I personally don't.

I rather stay with PM and play the migration lottery. Overall, I prefer Koodo "Tab" system over what other telecoms are doing. Even if I don't win the migration lottery I'm happy with PM's plan.

Agreed. If I didn’t need a new phone (was using an iPhone 5 - 16gb). Then I woulda held onto my $60/10gb plan.

Went through a lot of effort to sign up and cancel with freedom in order to get my iPhone X 256gb for $229. $75/13gb plan.

It was not made clear to me if my plan will change after the 2 years are up.

Overall I am happy with the result. My credit probably took a little hit.

It’s my opinion that their offers to the customers are based on the answers to their questions when they call. Ie. reason you left? What phone you got? What plan you had? Etc.

I agree. I said I wanted to pay less and didn’t need 10gb as I thought I did originally. I quoted my current plan and that’s when the rep threw the deal along with free phone. You are dead on. It all depends on the first 2-3 questions.

I was not 100 percent honest with my answers.
I said I went to freedom mobile and got an iPhone X 256 and paid $75/mo for 13gb. In reality I had iPhone X 64gb and paying $85/mo for 10gb.

In the end the first offer I got was iPhone X 256 for $729 - $500 credit. And $75/10+3gb plan.

I’m pretty happy with this. Hope this phone will last me another 4-5 years. And then we will play this game again.

That’s solid. If I didn’t buy my X outright a year ago I would be trying for the same what you got:)

Hang on for dear life! I had to clear off all my photos every 2 weeks so I wouldn’t get the “storage full” message. Didn’t have any music on there or unused apps for a loooong time. Haha suffered long enoughZ.

First world problems.
