Guys,

Would be iPhone XR 64GB on 2-year plan for $199 and $75 a month (5GB of data) a good deal?
Read my post above ... your offer ( like mine) is garbage

All province just go get a cheap rogers plan and then contact the person since he works for rogers he’ll charge $200 and change your plan to a loyalty plan and add upto 50% discount

i negotiated with Fido retentions to get $25 unlimited canada talk/intl text. with a new samsung A8 free (on a 2 year contract), they also gave me a $50 credit to 'waive' the 'upgrade' fee on getting the A8. i have little use for data so this fits my needs.

good deal?

just got off the phone with retention

$65 (4gb medium) plan - 25% = $48.75
iphone XR 128 - $370 ($420-$50 credit)

this is in winback territory minus the additional 1-4 gb data.

are you still on contract with them or are you month by month now? it might help to mention the recent public mobile offers, i mentioned the $23 plan, for the new phone the guy wanted me to install fido xtra and i told him i didn't have enough space on my phone (only 8gb) so he offered me a new A8 if i took on a 2yr plan.

On month to month. Will try using the public mobile plan tomorrow. They basically told me that the starting plan for a new device was 45$/month no data unlimited talk and they offered a $5 credit for 6 months.

Just got off the phone with retentions and this is what was offered to me (currently on the 10gb/$65 plan):

48.75 for 6gb pulse (25% off the existing 6gb/$65 plan for 24 months)
or
3gb extra data to stay on current plan (not clarified but I think this was also for 24 months)

Thoughts? I'm assuming this is pretty mediocre.. It was a bit odd that the specialist offered me the 3gb extra data when the main reason I called about switching was because I don't use anywhere close to 10gb a month (average around 4-5gb of usage). Ideally, I would like something like $40 for 5 or 6gb

Was offered:
$0 64gb iphone X : 5gb/85$ for 2 years

Im not sure how you guys talk to them to get better deals but this was all I could get! Any tips for me to get better deals? I dont see other better offers from rogers/telus either

You can try to say that you have an option to get a corporate plan and provide this source if they ask, but they usually don't.
